The traction rectifier transformer for urban railway transportation uses a double-coil, split-type structure. On the grid side, the extended delta phase shift is used, with a phase shift of +7.5° or -7.5° being applied. The two grid-side windings are connected in parallel. On the valve side, two split windings are arranged one above the other, one in delta connection and the other in star connection. Two traction rectifier transformers with a phase shift of ±7.5° and a rectifier form a 24-pulse traction rectifier. The no-load voltage difference between the two split windings is less than 0.2%. The traction rectifier transformer is specially designed for Class VI heavy-duty traction loads. Taking into account the impact of harmonics on load loss and temperature rise, the actual life of the transformer after one day of operation under Class VI heavy-duty traction loads does not exceed 24 hours normally.
