On February 2, 2024, the National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT) issued Decision No. 193/QD-EVNNPT on the transfer of the 500kV-600MVA transformer of the 500kV O Mon Station - Western Power Transmission 1 to Power Transmission Company 1, so the transformer (MBA) TBEA 600 MVA (AT1), a member of the 500kV O Mon family, is preparing to leave the station to take on a new assignment.

From February 22, 2024 to present, Power Transmission Company 4 has directed Western Power Transmission 1 to coordinate with Power Transmission Company 1 to carry out the handover of the TBEA 600 MVA transformer of the 500kV O Mon Station according to the transfer decision of EVNNPT.

Comrade Nguyen Van Binh - Head of O Mon 500kV station, recalled and shared "The years of operation at O Mon 500kV station, TBEA 600 MVA AT1 transformer (from September 13, 2011 until isolation to carry out the project of increasing the capacity of O Mon 500kV station in 2022) were nearly "11 years and 3 months". Over the past 11 years, AT1 transformer has always completed its tasks excellently, as a member, a "Heart" of O Mon 500kV station, playing a very important role, performing the task of transmitting power from the 500kV grid to the 220kV grid in the Southwest region. In particular, every year when Ca Mau power plant stops operating, cuts off gas for maintenance, AT1 transformer always operates at full load, limited overload, the cooling system must operate at full capacity. Despite such difficulties, every time AT1 transformer also overcome and excellently complete the assigned tasks.

For the operators, the station is considered as a common home, the equipment is first and secondly family members, the AT1 transformer is like a companion, always cared for attentively, periodically checked and maintained on time. In response to the love of the operators, the equipment and AT1 transformer at the station always complete the task excellently, never encountering any abnormalities or incidents, ensuring safe and continuous power supply for the Western power transmission grid.

Until today, the operators of the 500kV O Mon Station sadly said goodbye to the AT1 transformer to "take on a new task" at a far away unit - the 500kV Quang Ninh Station - Power Transmission Company 1. Hopefully, the AT1 transformer will always be the heart, continuing to accompany the operators of the 500kV Quang Ninh Station, excellently completing the assigned tasks as they have completed the tasks at the Station 500kV O Mon – Western Power Transmission 1./.
